The Diocesan Chairman of the African Church Youth Association (ACYA) Agege Diocese, Dada Ayobami, has joined millions of faithful worldwide to congratulate The African Church on the occasion of its 125th Anniversary Celebration.

In his congratulatory message, Dada Ayobami described the 125th anniversary as a remarkable milestone and a testament to God’s faithfulness, resilience, and grace upon the Church since its foundation in 1901.

He stated that at 125 years, The African Church has remained a beacon of hope, spiritual growth, and African identity, and every member should be proud of this great heritage.

Dada Ayobami however used the occasion to make a passionate appeal for unity, peace and love in the Church.

He noted that despite the crises and challenges that have confronted the Church in recent times, this anniversary period should be a moment of sober reflection, forgiveness and genuine reconciliation.

His words: “As we celebrate 125 years, we must allow the spirit of love and unity to reign among us. I appeal to all our elders, both clergy and laity, to embrace the spirit of forgiveness and reconcile all disputes in the Church. We are one family in Christ.”

He further urged the entire Church, young and old, to come together to build a stronger, more united and more glorious African Church that the next generation will be proud of.

Long live The African Church!
Long live ACYA!
