Gov Abdulrazaq mourns death of APC influencer Olutayo Seun

Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq sends his heartfelt condolences to the family and the ranks of APC members in the state on the tragic death on Saturday morning of a popular social media influencer Mr. Olutayo Joshua Seun, also known as Purity Boom. The Governor says Mr. Olutayo was a young, bold, and rock-steady supporter of the APC-led administration, and his death represents a huge loss for all. Governor Abdulrazaq commiserates with his immediate family, especially his wife and little children, and the APC political family. Governor Abdulrazaq asks God Almighty to give his family and associates the strength to get through this painful phase of life and accept his return.

Former presidential spokesperson Doyin Okupe has passed away.His death was confirmed on Friday, 7th March, 2025.

Okupe, who previously served as the Director-General of Peter Obi’s Presidential Campaign, was forced to step down from the role following a court conviction for money laundering.After the 2023 general election, he also resigned from the Labour Party and later became a vocal supporter of President Bola Tinubu’s administration.He was a senior adviser to former President Goodluck Jonathan.

CHIEF AYO ADEBANJO HEEDS THE LORD’S CALL AT 96

With a heart full of gratitude for a selfless life spent in the service of God, the nation and humanity, we announce the passing on of our beloved patriarch, Chief Samuel Ayodele Adebanjo. He died peacefully this morning, Friday, February 14, 2025 at his Lekki, Lagos Nigeria home at the age of 96.

The foremost nationalist, elder statesman, distinguished lawyer, very distinct politician, apostle of true federalism, former organising secretary of Action Group and the national leader of Afenifere is survived by his 94 year-old wife, Chief Christy Ayo-Adebanjo, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

We will forever cherish his commitment to fighting for truth, equity and justice. His belief and struggle for a truly independent and progressive Nigeria was total and this he fought for until he breathed his last breath. The family is consulting with Papa’s friends, associates, numerous interest groups across the length and breadth of Nigeria and beyond, to fine tune plans for a befitting funeral details which will be communicated in due course.

A condolence register is open at his residence in Lagos (8, Ayo Adebanjo Close, Lekki Phase 1, Lagos) and his country home in Isanya Ogbo, near Ijebu Ode Ogun State.

NGF mourns death of COAS Lt. Gen. Taoreed Lagbaja

Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) joins President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the rest of the country to mourn the death of the Chief of Army Staff Lt. Gen. Taoreed Abiodun Lagbaja.

“We send our profound condolences to Mr. President, the Nigerian military establishment, and the family on the sad loss of this great patriot,” according to a statement by the NGF Chairman and Governor of Kwara State Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq.

“Our hearts are especially with the family and the Nigerian Army at this difficult moment. We are comforted by the unforgettable memories of his unblemished services to our country. Even in death, Lt. Gen. Lagbaja stands honoured for his bravery and dedication to a greater, united Nigeria.

“We ask Almighty God to forgive his shortcomings, admit him to al-jannah Firdaus, and give his family the strength to get through this tough phase of life.”
