The grand finale of the Nigerian Idol Season 9 was electrifying and the excitement and energy could be felt through the screen. The night was filled with beautiful performances from the top three contestants, past contestants, and guest artists, as well as recaps of iconic moments that happened throughout the season.

The show kicked off with the top 10 giving an inspiring and powerful rendition of John Legend’s “Glory.” It was heartwarming to see familiar faces from the season return and showcase their talents once again. Judge Omawumi joined forces with the season’s Top 7, raising the roof with a soulful performance of her song “Thank God.” We were also treated to appearances by past winners, Victory Gbakara and Progress, who graced the stage with their captivating performances. Progress teamed up with the winner of the Bigi Idol online contest, Precieberry. They delivered a wonderful rendition of Jon Ogah’s “Uncle Suru,” while Victory Gbakara delivered an original soulful piece, “Best Years of Our Lives.”Chike, “Boo of the Booless” crooner kept the musical feast going with his new single “Man Not God” before the Top 3 finalists took to the stage for their final performances. Chima gave a jaw-dropping performance of Michael Bublé’s “Feeling Good” from the 2005 album “It’s Time.” He set the stage ablaze and brought chills to everyone. Lammy delivered an emotional and heartfelt rendition of Sam Smith’s ‘Pray’ with his rich and mellow voice, and Chioma brought fierce energy and powerful vocals to her rendition of Katy Perry’s 2013 hit, ‘Roar’.Right before the winners were announced, past judge, Simi, came on stage and displayed her amazing vocal agility in her performances of ‘Lost and Found’ and ‘Borrow Me Your Baby’ from her recently released album.Finally, the moment of truth arrived! Host, Ik Osakidouwa, announced Chima as the winner of Nigerian Idol Season 9. Episode 2 of Heartbeat turned up the heat, giving viewers a closer look at the singles, their intentions, and the sparks already flying in the Love Pad.Ken and Latifah were still feeling the closeness from their night together. Latifah was clearly enjoying the attention and didn’t want it to end, while Ken expressed comfort with her but also hinted at exploring other connections, a move that immediately stirred emotions.As the singles settled in, conversations revealed more about who they really are. Chidera admitted her views on marriage and kids might clash with Kenna’s, though she confessed she liked him. Hilda shared that she was still trying to figure out Igwe, while Alvin revealed he finds older, intelligent women especially attractive.
