JUST IN: Nigerian Governor Rotimi Akeredolu Dies After Prolonged Illness
Ondo State Governor Rotimi Akeredolu has been confirmed dead after a long battle with illness.
Sources say the Nigerian Governor died in Lagos on Wednesday at the age of 67.
It was discovered that because they were unable to transport him overseas, State House physicians cared for him until his passing.Recall that after a three-month medical leave in Germany, the ill governor came back to Nigeria in September.After receiving instructions from President Bola Tinubu to transfer authority to his deputy, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, he recently took another medical leave.Acting governor Aiyedatiwa, his deputy, has been filling in.
