2023: Ogun NUJ holds governorship debate Sunday

The much anticipated Ogun NUJ Political Debate takes its final bow with the Governorship Debate holding on Sunday at the Cultural Center, Kuto, Abeokuta.
The debate series which has taken the Union to the Ogun East and Ogun Central Senatorial district, engaging with House of Representatives and Senatorial Candidates, will further strengthen democratic tenents with it’s engagement with Governorship candidates of major political parties in the state.
Expected at the governorship debate includes the incumbent governor of Ogun state, Dapo Abiodun of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Barr. Biyi Otegbeye of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and Ladi Adebutu of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
Others includes, Amb. Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Engr. Tony Ojesina of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), and Kehinde Sogunle of Labour Party (LP).
The debate which will be aired live on major TV and Radio stations, will also enjoy massive print and online coverage, which according to the organisers is a significant milestone for the candidates to reach their teaming supporters ahead of the 2023 general elections.
“The debate is expected to take off with guest seated from 3pm”, the organisers said.
