A section of the popular Ladipo market was gutted by fire late friday destroying goods worth several millions of naira inside the over 220 shops along the axis.
The fire which started as minor at the Hassan Ola Blocks of Aguiyi Ironsi International, Ladipo Mushin LGA quickly spread beyond the traders who initially did not alert emergency responders for prompt intervention.
No life was lost during the fire incident as the fire was later contained from further spread by fire fighters from the Lagos state fire service as well as officials of the Lagos state Emergency Management Agency( LASEMA) and the Federal Emergency Management Agency ( FEMA)
