Southwest PDP Condoles With Former Governor Ayodele Fayose

The Caretaker Committee members of the Southwest zone of the Peoples Democratic Party has expressed their heartfelt condolences to the former Governor of Ekiti State and staunch leader of the party, His Excellency, Dr. Ayodele Fayose on the demise of his elder sister, Madam Moji Ladeji Nee Fayose which occured on Monday, 21st September, 2020, after a brief illness. 
The Condolence message signed by the Secretary of the Caretaker Committee,  Hon. Daisi Akintan stated that the ugly news of the death of Late Madam Moji Ladeji was devastating and shocking.
“Madam Ladeji, was a dependable and loving sister to our indefatigable leader, her exit will no doubt leave a vacuum that will be difficult to fill. We join the Ladeji and Fayose families in taking solace in the fact that you are resting in the bossom of the Lord your maker”. 
“The numerous tributes by family members and friends are great testimonies of the exemplary life you lived
 You will forever be remembered for all the qualities you stood for as a God fearing woman”.
The Caretaker Committee members prayed for the repose of soul of the deceased and fortitude the two families to bear the irreparable loss. Akintan said.

Adebutu condoles with Diya family on the death of Gen. Diya at 79

The Gubernatorial Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the 2023 general elections, Hon. Oladipupo Adebutu has sent a condolence message to Diya family and Nigerians on the demise of the former Chief of General Staff, Lt. General Oladipupo Diya  which occurred at the early hours of Sunday, 26th March, 2023 at the age of 79.

The message issued on Sunday by the Media Director, Ladi Adebutu Campaign Organisation, Afolabi Orekoya extols the great virtues of the former Chief of General Staff, Chief of Defence Staff and former Military Governor of Ogun State between 1984 and 1985.

General Diya joined the Nigerian Defence Academy, Kaduna and fought during the Nigerian Civil War.


He later attended the US Army School of Infantry, the Command and Staff College, Jaji (1980–1981) and the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies, Kuru.

While serving in the military, he studied law at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, where he obtained an LLB degree, and then at the Nigerian Law School, where he was called to bar as Solicitor and Advocate of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.

He held other top military posts like GOC, 82 Division and finally the Chief of General Staff (military Vice President) to Gen Sani Abacha.


The condolence message described General Diya who was an illustrious son of Odogbolu as a courageous, administrator par excellence and brave military officer who served the nation and Ogun State diligently.


The message further said “His commitment to the development of Ogun State and Nigeria as a whole shall not be forgotten as they are indelible in the hearts of the people”

While thanking God for the fulfilled life lived by General Diya, Adebutu enjoins the family, friends and associates to take solace in the fact that he left good legacies. He also prayed for the repose of his soul and fortitude for the family, friends and associates to bear the irreparable loss.

With total submission to the will of the  Almighty God, the leadership of Ladi Adebutu Development Organisation Commiserates with the Adedeji family of Oyo Sate and the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), over the abrupt demise of Mr Ademola Adedeji which occurred on Thursday, 23rd March, 2023.

Ademola Adedeji until his death was an Assistant Superintendent of Police and the Commander of Hon. Oladipupo Adebutu’s Police security squad.

He was known for his diligence, hardwork and professionalism while in service. Until his death, he served honestly and whole heartedly. Sure, he would sorely be missed.

At this time of grief, we pray God, the Omnipotent and Merciful to grant the soul of our beloved brother cum service man eternal rest and to also grant his family, the Nigeria Police Force and the loved ones he left behind the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

Adebutu Sympathises With The People Of Akute Over Tanker Explosion

The Gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in Ogun State, Hon. (Dr) Oladipupo Adebutu has sympathised with the people of Akute area of Ifo Local Government, particularly the victims of the fire explosion caused by a Petrol-laden Tanker that fell and spilled its contents in Olambe, Akute road on Saturday, 3rd September, 2022.

The statement issued on Sunday by the Media Director, Ladi Adebutu Campaign Organization, Afolabi Orekoya, described the incident as a very sad and pathetic occurrence. The statement said further that the incident which affected some residential buildings, shops and churches is shocking and devastating.

“Thankfully to God, no life was lost in the said incident, but we identify with our people who lost properties and materials to this ugly incident as we will continue to pray to God for the safety of lives and properties of our people”.

“Please be comforted with the saying that when there is life there is hope, since God has preserved our lives – that we lost no life to the unfortunate inferno, there is hope for a better tomorrow, which will bring relief to all our sorrows”.

“One of our programmes is to give attention to our border communities, providing good roads that will avert preventable road accidents caused as a result of bad roads; and other social services that will make life enjoyable to our people in these areas”.

While we promise a responsive and responsible government come 2023, we appeal to all motorists, particularly, the owners and drivers of heavy trucks and articulated vehicles to always ensure good conditions of their vehicles before setting out on any journey to avoid accidents that may be caused by avoidable mechanical faults”.

Orekoya in the statement assured the victims of the inferno of support to alleviate effects of the incident on the people.
