NOTSUP South-West Council Pays Courtesy Visit to Federal Polytechnic Ado-Ekiti, Commends Management on Staff Welfare
Ado-Ekiti — 6th October, 2026.
The South-West Executive Council of the Non-Teaching Staff Union of Polytechnics (NOTSUP) has commended the Management of the Federal Polytechnic, Ado-Ekiti for sustaining industrial peace and prioritizing staff welfare.
The commendation was given during a courtesy visit to the Polytechnic on Tuesday, 6th October, 2026, as part of the Council’s South-West tour.
The delegation was led by the Zonal Coordinator, Comrade Ogunjobi Adewale Adesegun, alongside the NOTSUP Yaba Chapter Chairman, Comrade Adebayo Sanusi.
The team was warmly received by the branch executives of NOTSUP, Federal Polytechnic, Ado-Ekiti, under the leadership of the Branch Chairman, Comrade Oluwadare Ademola Bode, who also serves as Secretary of the South-West Executive Council.

On arrival, the Zonal Executives visited the NOTSUP Secretariat, where they commended and encouraged the branch leadership for its commitment since the Union’s inception in 2024.
Thereafter, the Zonal Executives, accompanied by the branch executives, proceeded to the office of the Rector, who was ably represented by the Deputy Rector (Academics).
Speaking during the visit, the Zonal Coordinator lauded the Rector and Management for their giant strides in ensuring the welfare of NOTSUP members and the entire staff of the institution. He expressed satisfaction with the serene and cordial industrial relationship existing in the Polytechnic.
Comrade Ogunjobi appealed to Management to pay the CONTTA arrears as soon as the payment warrant is received from the Federal Government, just as was done for ASUP.
He also raised the issue of the 25%/35% salary increase arrears, urging Management to effect payment promptly once the funds are released by the Federal Government.

He appreciated Management for extending a hand of fellowship to NOTSUP executives and members in terms of welfare and mutual understanding, and pledged the continued support of the Union to the Rector, Management, and the entire Polytechnic community.
Also speaking, the NOTSUP Yaba Chapter Chairman, Comrade Adebayo Sanusi, thanked the Management and the Rector for their fatherly role in maintaining peace and stability in the institution, praying for the sustenance of the existing serenity.
In his remarks, the Branch Chairman, Comrade Oluwadare Ademola Bode, appreciated the Deputy Rector for the warm reception and for the various supports the Rector has rendered to the Union since inception. He expressed optimism that the cordial relationship would be sustained for the progress of the institution.
Responding on behalf of the Rector, the Deputy Rector (Academics) attributed the continued serenity and stability in the Polytechnic to the present administration’s prioritization of staff welfare.

He listed some of the welfare packages to include the subsidized transportation system to cushion the effect of the rising cost of petrol, the Staff Revolving Loan Scheme which was increased from N4 million to N40 million, TETFund sponsorship for staff, and other social and educational support programmes.
He assured the Union of Management’s continued support for all staff and members of NOTSUP.
The event, anchored by the Public Relations Officer of the Institution, Mr. Kayode Adebusuyi, ended with a group photograph.
The NOTSUP branch and South-West Zonal Executives also visited the Bursar of the institution and the Olusegun Okeji Centre for Entrepreneurial Innovation (OOCEI) before their departure.
