Akeweje Hails Olaleye’s Appointment to Tinubu Campaign Council, Congratulates Kanu, Habeeb Tunde on City Boy Roles
The APC Candidate for Irepodun State Constituency, Akeweje Olayinka Fafoluyi, has hailed the appointment of Niyi Stephen Olaleye as a member of the New Media Committee of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Campaign Council, describing it as a recognition of Olaleye’s experience, commitment and growing contributions to political communication and digital engagement.
Akeweje, in a congratulatory message, said Olaleye’s appointment was a significant opportunity to deploy his expertise in new media, strategic communication and digital mobilisation in support of the campaign’s objectives.
He noted that the rapidly changing digital landscape has made new media an increasingly important avenue for political communication, public engagement and mobilisation, particularly among young Nigerians.
According to Akeweje, Olaleye’s understanding of digital platforms and his ability to connect with audiences make the appointment an opportunity for him to contribute meaningfully to the campaign’s communication efforts.

Akeweje also congratulated Hon. Oladipo Olumuyiwa Kanu on his appointment as Kwara South Coordinator of the City Boy Movement, and Hon. Habeeb Tunde on his appointment as Irepodun LGA Champion of the movement.
He described Kanu and Habeeb Tunde as individuals with valuable grassroots experience and community connections, saying their appointments provide opportunities to further strengthen grassroots engagement and mobilisation.
Hon. Kanu, a former Councillor, Youth Empowerment Coordinator and Chairman of Irepodun Local Government, brings considerable experience in grassroots leadership and political engagement to his new responsibility.
For Hon. Habeeb Tunde, Akeweje said his appointment as Irepodun LGA Champion provides an opportunity to deepen engagement with young people and contribute to the growth and effectiveness of the movement at the local level.
Akeweje said the three appointments demonstrate the importance of combining digital communication, grassroots leadership, youth engagement and strategic mobilisation in contemporary political organisation.
