Aquafina has once again captured our hearts with their latest television commercial (TVC), “Better with Your Padi of Life.” This new commercial is a refreshing and outright depiction of Aquafina’s brand messaging: everything is “Better with Your Padi of Life” Aquafina. We know that Aquafina’s TVC is not just about creating visually appealing content but also driving home the brand’s messaging with cleverly depicted scenes. We loved the previous TVC, but we love this even more, and here is why. 1. The Depiction of Aquafina as the Ultimate Padi of LifeIn this new TVC, Aquafina wears multiple caps. Aquafina is depicted as your ultimate beauty padi, a member of your tribe, your biggest cheerleader, the one that cools you down, and keeps you going. Each scene takes the viewer through a journey that climaxes in the discovery that Aquafina is more than just water. It is the Padi of Life, and life is always better with your Padi. 2. Celebrating the Journey of FriendsThe “Better with Your Padi of Life” TVC beautifully celebrates the essence of friendship. The new TVC brings together all the ambassadors from the previous TVC and updates their stories. We see that Jide Kene and Muna Abii are still an item, Kate continues her fitness journey, Aproko Doctor is still on his hydration crusade with Aquafina, and Jemima still includes Aquafina in her beauty routine. The commercial highlights the joy and warmth of spending time with friends, reminding us of the value of companionship that comes from shared moments with our padi of life, in this case, Aquafina3. Vibrant Visuals, Fast-Paced ToneThe TVC is a visual treat, filled with colourful and vibrant scenes that keep viewers engaged. The transition from one scene to the next was cleverly executed resulting in the seamless flow from one frame to another. Each frame is meticulously crafted to capture Aquafina’s position as the ultimate padi and the joy and excitement of shared experiences, whether it’s a girls’ day out, a football game, or a workout session. The colourful and dynamic visuals make the commercial lively and appealing.4. Relatable and Heartwarming NarrativesThe narratives in the “Better with Your Padi of Life” TVC are both relatable and heartwarming. From Jemima Osunde showing how Aquafina is her beauty padi, Muna Abi and Jide Kene giving us couple goal vibes, Kate Henshaw demonstrating the importance of hydration while exercising, and of course, the game night scene which brought all our stars together in a moment of fun and laughter, each story resonates on a personal level. These everyday scenarios make the TVC more impactful and memorable. 5. Interswitch Career Fair 4.0 Advances Africa’s Talent Agenda with Bold Ideas and Practical Impact

Interswitch Group, one of Africa’s leading integrated payments and digital commerce companies, recently hosted the fourth edition of its flagship Career Fair at the Landmark Event Centre, Lagos. Themed “The Talent Paradox: Enabling the Talent Ecosystem in Africa,” the one-day event brought together thousands including industry leaders, professionals, students, and job seekers for an immersive experience focused on unlocking the potential within Africa’s talent pipeline.

During the event, participants engaged in a dynamic series of keynotes, panel sessions, and mentoring sessions that challenged conventional thinking and sparked new ideas around the future of work in Africa. From practical career resources to strategic insights, the Career Fair delivered a holistic experience designed to equip attendees with tools for success in a fast-evolving labour market.

Setting a compelling tone for the event, Mitchell Elegbe, Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Interswitch Group, delivered an inspiring message to participants. Drawing on his entrepreneurial journey, he emphasised the power of resilience, bold thinking, authenticity, purpose, and a deep commitment to solving real problems. Addressing the event attendees, he said –

She highlighted how creativity, resourcefulness, consistency, and incremental action can drive impactful career outcomes.

During the session, Franklin Ali, Group Chief Human Resource Officer, Interswitch Group noted that the Interswitch career fair remains the firm’s flagship platform for supporting the best of Africa’s rich and diverse talent. 

Adding further depth, Dr. Harry Akinola, Executive Director, JP Morgan Chase & Co, delivered a keynote on self-awareness and personal development. He encouraged young professionals to identify their unique strengths, define their own paths, and commit to continuous learning.

Other notable speakers included Kemi Okusanya, Chief Executive Officer, Hydrogen; Charles Ifedi, Founder, eBanqo; Lanre Basamta, Co-Founder, Optimus AI Labs; Isioma Utomi, CEO, Catalyst Experience Solutions, among others.

Together, they addressed systemic challenges affecting Africa’s talent ecosystem, identifying the need for scalable skilling programmes, agile hiring models, and stronger collaboration between public and private sectors in supporting the next generation of African innovators.
