Ogun PDP May Not Win 2023 Elections “if” – Hon. Kehinde Akinde

A Chieftain of The Peoples Democratic Party in Yewa North, Ijoun ward 10 has raised alert over some issues concerning the party.
Honourable Kehinde Akinde while speaking with journalists in Abeokuta said there are some factors which if not corrected can cost the party losing the 2023 Gubernatorial elections, according to honourable Akinde all PDP Gubernatorial Aspirants in Ogun PDP are all qualified to contest for the number one position of the state.
Akinde analysed the three major contenders for Guber race who are Honourable Oladipupo Adebutu, Chief Segun Sowunmi and Alhaji Jimi Lawal. Akinde referred to Honourable Oladipupo Adebutu as a gentle man who has been using his resources to maintain the party, Chief Segun Sowunmi as well was regarded as someone who always followed whatever he believes in and Alhaji Jimi Lawal though he hasn’t met him physically but from what the people are saying he is also a good man to reckon with.
Talking about the problem which must be well handled – Honourable Akinde said the structure of the party is concentrated on one of the groups which made up the Ogun State Chapter of Peoples Democratic Party.
On the other hand, the ward delegates which ought to be shared among the groups which made up PDP are also concentrated in the hand of a group instead of it to be shared among the groups.
Akinde advised Ogun PDP not to go to general election with just a group getting “solo” in action, if not PDP might not win a constituency out of twenty six (26) constituencies by 2023.
