Defending champions, Manchester City will continue its title defence against Southampton at the Etihad Stadium, this weekend, for matchday 10 of the English Premier League 2022/23 season.

Pep Guardiola’s men will be buoyed by the goalscoring heroics of its striker, Erling Haaland, who has scored 17 goals in 11 matches for City including 3 consecutive hat-tricks. Guardiola was full of praise for the Norwegian youngster. “At his age, no-one can compete with him, no-one,” Guardiola said ahead of the team’s Champions League tie on Wednesday.
On the other hand, Nigerian striker, Joe Aribo will be hoping to lead his Southampton teammates to a surprising victory against the defending champions at the Etihad and hopefully add to his goal tally for the season.
The La Liga promises to be exciting this weekend as the race for the league table gets hotter. Defending champion, Real Madrid, will pay a visit to Getafe this weekend. They will be hoping to bounce back from last weekend’s draw with Osasuna. The Saturday night game will be live on SuperSport La Liga (DStv channel 204 and GOtv channel 32) at 8:00pm

This weekend in the Serie A brings a thrilling challenge between reigning champions AC Milan and Juventus at the San Siro. Both teams find themselves outside the top four due to a topsy-turvy start to the league campaign.
Victory for the Rossoneri could see them sneak into the top four, while the visiting Old Ladies will be hoping to salvage a campaign that has started on a wrong note by securing a surprising victory in Milan. The match will be broadcast on GO Select 1 (GOtv channel 33) on Saturday at 4:50pm.

The Big Brother Naija Season 10 reunion kicked off yesterday, and honestly, nobody was prepared for how quickly things went from zero to heated. From unresolved tensions to emotional confessions, it looks like the housemates came ready to finally say everything they’ve been holding back.If episode one is anything to go by, the rest of the reunion is set to be explosive. Here are some of the highlights from Episode 1 of the reunion:Sabrina opened up about her early exit, saying that if she had stayed longer, viewers would have seen more of her personality, and that a love interest storyline likely wouldn’t have happened.Tracy reflected on her time in the house, admitting she didn’t feel emotionally prepared for the experience. She also expressed that while she wanted a deeper connection with Kuture, things felt too physical for her.Zita revisited her time in the house as well, insisting her fight with Mide was not performative and that she often felt cornered by how things played out. Mide, however, pushed back, saying Zita misunderstood her intentions and that she is not condescending.Zita and Danboskid also addressed their failed “ship,” finally laying the relationship drama to rest.Thelma had an emotional moment while defending herself in the Isabella and Kayinkumi situation, with tensions rising further when Big Soso jumped into the conversation, escalating things between her and Thelma. We also saw more tension unfold between Tega and Thelma, with revelations that added even more weight to their already strained dynamic. And just when we thought it couldn’t get any hotter, the episode ended on a cliffhanger, with Kola and Doris going head-to-head, leaving viewers waiting for what comes next.If this is just episode one, the rest of the reunion promises nothing short of chaos, clarity, and confrontations.Big Brother Naija S10 reunion is clearly not holding back this year. The Evolution of Home Viewing in Nigeria
There was a time in Nigeria when watching movies at home wasn’t strictly a “home” experience. People rented VHS tapes and later DVDs from local video clubs around the neighbourhood, and in many cases, viewing extended to video centres or where groups gathered to watch films and sports. It was a shared setup shaped by access, availability, and a very communal way of consuming entertainment. As time went on, analogue television became the main form of home viewing. Families would gather around a single TV set in the living room, with limited channels and fixed programming schedules. Content was not really something you chose; it was something you aligned your day around. Antenna adjustments were part of the routine, and despite the limitations, TV became a central part of everyday household life. The introduction of satellite and pay-TV services marked a major shift. Viewers suddenly had more control, more variety, and more access. Local and international content expanded significantly, covering movies, sports, news, and entertainment in a way that changed viewing habits from passive scheduling to active choice. This is where platforms like GOtv became relevant in the Nigerian context. By making premium entertainment more affordable and widely accessible, GOtv helped bridge the gap between content quality and everyday households. It wasn’t just about more channels; it was about making consistent access to entertainment more realistic for a wider audience.Today, home viewing has become more flexible and audience-driven. People are no longer tied to fixed schedules; viewing is now based on preference, timing, and convenience. At the same time, shared viewing still exists, especially around live sports and major TV moments, where entertainment becomes a collective experience again, just in a more modern form. From rented tapes and video centres to satellite TV and now more structured, accessible entertainment platforms, the evolution of home viewing in Nigeria has been a steady shift toward more choice and control. Throughout that journey, GOtv has remained part of the ecosystem, supporting how everyday audiences access and experience entertainment at home.
