Big Brother turned the game completely on its head during the second nomination round on Monday night, announcing that the N100 million cash prize is no longer guaranteed.
This season, the status of the cash prize will be determined by the weekly performance of the housemates. Success keeps the money intact, but every failed challenge will result in a N5 million deduction from the prize pot each week.
At the end of the season, all deducted funds will be pooled together and shared equally among the housemates voted as the “Most Influential” by their peers. To facilitate this, Biggie reintroduced the Most Influential Player of the Week ranking, where housemates rate each other weekly on a 1-to-5 scale.
The Introduction of Conspiracy Hour
Before the game-changing cash prize announcement, Biggie introduced a new game play called Conspiracy Hour, allowing housemates to deliberate and decide whether to save themselves or another housemate.
Housemates entered the Conspiracy Zone one at a time and could invite as many allies as they wished for a one-minute plot session. While housemates could be pulled into the zone multiple times by different people, Biggie laid down one strict rule: whatever happened inside the zone had to remain there. Any discussion about the conspiracy chats outside the designated area carries severe house violations.
Head of House Win and the Reverse Nomination Shake-Up
Sheba snatched the Head of House title earlier in the day, securing absolute immunity from eviction and claiming a pivotal role during the nominations.
When nominations officially commenced, housemates were hit with another surprise: instead of voting to evict, they were instructed to vote to save three housemates. At the end of the initial tally, Tram, Barry, Cassi, Goddessa, and Bells received the highest number of safe votes.
Exercising her HOH privileges, Sheba was given the power to strip immunity from one saved housemate and give it to another. She chose to replace Cassi with Chimsom Chuka. Thanks to their status as the season’s Gambits, Flora and Aikou were also declared safe alongside Sheba and the finalized save list.

With the twists officially played out, a total of 16 housemates are now on the chopping block and facing possible eviction this week: Abi, Araga, Bluethopia, Cassi, Gerard, Kamsy, Keivo, Martins, Mercedes, Nomy, Neche, Oyin, Ricky, Sultex, Temi Nkem and Yusuf.
