Federal High Court Clears Taraba APC Governorship candidate to participate in the election.

A Federal High Court sitting in the Taraba State capital, Jalingo has confirmed Senator Emmanuel Bwacha as the authentic candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the March 18 Governorship Election.
Senator Emmanuel Bwacha filed a suit against the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to challenge the electoral umpire for not including his name as the governorship candidate of the APC in Taraba State on its portal.

The recognition of Emmanuel Bwacha as the Governorship candidate of the APC by INEC, has been a subject of debate, since he emerged as the winner of the party’s run-off governorship primary election on February 10.

The court judgement means that the coast is clear for Bwacha to participate in the March 18 Governorship Election and put to rest speculation that Taraba APC may not have a candidate in the 2023 Governorship Election.
