Amuzu, Atobatele, Fuja kick off polling unit campaign in Abeokuta South

It was a rousing welcome and standing ovation as both female and male residents of ward one in Abeokuta South Local Government comprising Erunwon, Centenary Hall, Iporo Ake, Itesi and Isale- Ake trooped out today to catch a glimpse of the PDP candidates who physically presented themselves openly.

The PDP House of Representatives Candidate, vying to represent Abeokuta South Federal Constituency, Chief Toyin Amuzu and the duo of the State Assembly candidates, Hon Lukmon Atobatele and Idowu Olowofuja vying to represent Abeokuta State Constituency 1 and 2 respectively were fully embraced in what could be described as a show of general acceptability.

The shouts of ” PDP”, “Change the Change” and “Eleyi lule” rented the air as the candidates tried to explain what they have done and what they will do to steer development in the communities and improve the general well-being of the people.

Chief Amuzu who explained how they have assisted the people because of the love and passion to better their lots enjoined the residents to pay back by voting the PDP from top to bottom.

Hon. Atobatele and Olowofuja while enumerating some of their numerous works said it included toilets, bathrooms and water borehole projects among others.

Some of the residents who spoke included Mr John Olomowewe who lamented the many failures of the ruling APC which he said has greatly affected the economy and security of the state .

Madam Funmi Okeniyi said it is now a problem to feed, as prices of virtually everything has gone beyond the hands of every individual.

A landlord Mr Babatunde said those in government do not respond to their needs whenever they are called upon saying this is what has led to their bad roads and spoilt transformer.
