Peoples Demicratic Party’s governorship candidate in the forthcoming 2023 governorship election in Gombe state, Muhammadu Jibrin Barde has accused the All Progressives Congress led government of using state agents to demolish a section of his campaign headquarters in violation of a court order stopping such action.
In a press statement released and signed by the candidate, Barde said the action of the government was carried out by the Gombe state Urban development agency which tried unsuccessfully to demolish the structures at the state headquarters on two previous occasions.
The candidate of the PDP says the campaign organisation has instituted contempt proceedings against the agency and the state government.
Muhammadu Barde asked the state government to restrain from taking further action or it would amount to destroying relative peace being enjoyed in the state.
