The Executive Secretary of the Abia State Scholarship Board, Chukwuka Daniel has commended Governor Okezie Ikpeazu for placing premium on education and capacity building activities for the youth.
Chukwuka who stated this in an interview with Journalists in Umuahia, described capacity building as an important component of any meaningful government, adding that the present administration’s priority is to empower Abia youth with quality education.
He expressed the hope that recipients of the Abia State scholarship will properly utilise the opportunity in order to impart positively on the economic growth of the state and Nigeria at large as well as bridge the gap in various specialised fields lacking in the society.
While presenting a scorecard on the successes and challenges of the Scholarship Board, Chukwuka says the Board has broken grounds in providing quality education for students.
