Addressing Journalists on Friday in Abuja, the convener of Nigeria first, Richard Augustine, said the long queues in fuel service stations for the past one week are the results of greed and unpatriotic activities of some petroleum products marketers in collaboration with their foreign partners.
The human rights group noted that it was the responsibility of importers of petroleum products to guarantee product quality and quantity as well as adhere strictly to importation rules instead of compromising standards to maximize profits.
The civil society organisations promised to continue to put pressure the Buhari administration not to relent in the investigation and possible sanctioning of those involved in the importation of the bad fuel which has damaged hundreds of vehicles across Nigeria.
