Police Confirm Abduction of 70 Persons at Rini Community in Zamfara
The Police in Zamfara State has confirmed the abduction of some persons by suspected bandits who stormed Rini Community in Bakura Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
The police, however, did not give the exact figures of those abducted.
Sources however said that 71 persons were abducted at the Rini community where one person escaped, while the other 70 are still in captivity.
The bandits were said to have invaded the community firing sporadic gunshots and operated for hours without the intervention of security operatives.
Residents said attacks in the Bakura Local Government Area of the state by suspected bandits are becoming too many in the last few days.
They want government at all levels to do the needful to secure and protect the communities from this ruthless marauder who are wreaking havoc in the state.
