Mustapha Isa of the Silverbird Group has been elected President of the Nigerian Guild of Editors, NGE. He polled 176 votes at the ongoing Biennial Convention of the Guild holding in Kano State to defeat his only opponent, Victoria Ibanga.

Isa as Deputy President of the Guild was confirmed as President in 2019 to complete the tenure of Funke Egbemode who was appointed Commissioner in Osun State. He is to pilot the affairs of the body of editors for the next 2 years.
