PDP Condemns Attack On Ladi Adebutu and Other Members

The Ogun state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP condemns, in strong terms, the unwarranted attack on Hon. Oladipupo Adebutu and other members of the party by a gang of dangerous elements who were said to be loyal to one Biyi Atoba, an aide of the state governor.

According to the Peoples Democratic State Publicity Secretary, the needless attack occured yesterday, Fri May 28, 2021 at Isara Remo when our party leaders and several members were departing from a social function in the town.

“The said attack was led and coordinated by an undesirable individual named Muyiwa Sobade, a political appointee in Remo North Local Government. The said Sobade who was armed with a pistol, in company of his gang with several dangerous weapons was shooting in to the air as they waylaid our members’ motorcade with the view to wrecking serious havoc”.

“The ugly attack which resulted in damaging of few vehicles has been officially reported at Isara Police Station and at the Area Commander’s Office, Iperu for further actions”.

“As a responsible political party that has a rich tradition of peaceful and civil conduct, we demand immediate arrest of Muyiwa Sobade and of course, every other individual who were involved in this dastard attack. They must be made to face the full weight of the laws. This demand becomes very necessary so that they would serve as deterrents to others who take mindless delight in disturbing public peace and tranquility”.
