LG Election: Ogun PDP Begins Primary Elections To Pick Candidates
The Ogun State Chapter of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has commenced her primaries in choosing the Councilorship and Chairmanship candidates for the forthcoming local government election in Ogun State.
Ogun PDP made this known in a press release by the State Publicity Secretary, Asiwaju Bankole Akinloye (J.P), the release reads thus:
“In strict compliance with the guidelines and the timetable released by the Ogun State Independent Electoral Commission (OGSIEC), Ogun State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) began her primary election today May 25th, 2021 across the 236 political wards to elect her councillorship candidates”.
“The congress which witnessed an impressive turnout of party faithfuls across the wards also elected 3 Ad-hoc delegates that would participate in the party primary elections that would elect chairmanship candidates across the 20 LG councils on Thursday May 27th, 2021”.
“The exercise which was conducted in an atmosphere of peace and harmony had in attendance officials of the electoral commission and members security agencies who witnessed the exercise”.
“While we salute our teeming members and indeed, our party leaders who brought their pool of political acumen together ensure peaceful process of party congresses, we charge our members to remain organised, patriotic and peaceful as the process continues on Thursday May 27th, 2021 to elect our chairmanship candidates.”
